Is Hachapuri the cheesy Georgian stuffed bread?

Look what the American media makes some people believe:
Putin often threatens to strike US with nuclear weapons.

Yes, my wife does it with a mix of feta cheese, mature cheddar, dill and a few other herbs and ingredients.

One of the things I truly enjoy about living in Russia is food shopping for fresh [ ish ] product . The very thought of filling up the boot of a car with stuff that would still be edible in a year might explain why so many Brits / Americans are 'large' ..

Until I was 40, I ate shite, processed food and I am so GLAD I met FSU / Cypriot folk who helped me 'wise up'

I remember going to a place called American Pizza. With a name like that one has certain expectations. In part they were: well baked thick crusts, nice toppings, in copious quantities - and yes, the bloody dill pickle!

The things are so ubiquitous that they don't even bother to list the buggers on the menu.

Again, a few years ago, I was enjoying the Bizniz Meny at a local pub. I ordered a thing, god alone knows but it would have involved pork, it always involves pork, and potatoes - always with the potatoes. There was some kind of white sauce, those who are familiar with video pornography will be familiar with the appearance and texture of the sauce. All this was as expected, but lurking in the sauce were little chunks of tinned pineapple - as out of place as a foreskin at a Jewish naturist resort.

This was so out of place that I just had to ask why on earth they had felt it important to add pineapple to the cum sauce.
I was told, with an absolutely straight face that the pineapple was there because it was exotic.

These days there are less of these delightful experiments, they died out shortly after bars and cafes were able to afford to upgrade to proper furniture as compared to the plastic garden furniture that many had been improvising with for quite some years.
Now we get stuff with 'jus' and 'glaze' and 'wok fried accompaniments' but it all still involves bloody dead pigs and spuds!
...everything ends always well; if it’s still bad, then it’s not the end!

Thanks for sharing - so funny and true.  I'm surprised SC doesn't have rabbit ears - judging by the amount of fresh Ukrop [Dill ] consumed

To be fair, Poles use shed loads of it, too

It has been three years since the last time I took hold of a Russian cookbook because of inspiration. Get one in the library and experiment. You can add some changes but sausage recipes are the best. Next time, instead of pork sausage I found in the cookbook, I would replace it with rabbit using lamb casings but retain the ingredients. So many Russian cookbooks to borrow. Free! :)

In the United states processed parmesan cheese contains ground up wood. Much of the processed meat contains things one would not think to eat. So this is no big surprise when reading what might be in Russia's food as well.

Yes, my wife does it with a mix of feta cheese, mature cheddar, dill and a few other herbs and ingredients.

yes and that stuff is aaaaaaaammaaazinnngggg!!!!!

Im not even joking I ate the stuff for 4 days straight in St Petersburg.  I am wondering how in the world Georgian food is not world renowned cuisine, everything they make tastes spectacular.

Uzbek food is pretty awesome too; plov, samsa, and lagman are all great dishes.

Theres some good Russian stuff but after you have Georgian and Uzbek food, you ask yourself......why? lol.

People get worried about what they eat when they go over there.  Had some friends go to Russia 1 month before me and gave me horror stories about the food.  I think they just went with what their cruise service recommended.  BIG mistake.  If you do your research, you will not eat one bad meal when you are there.
