Here's a rich Yorkshire accent from a little girl to lighten things up...

She's adorable, but in a little over 6 minutes, I got:

No
Dah'dee
Yah
Mun'keah

What else did she say?

Just from a Yanks perspective, sounds a bit like a mix of English, Irish and Scottish.  Stuck in the triangle geographically I can kind of see that I guess.  Of course you folks in the UK would think I am a bit off with that :)

Not only don't I speak Russian but I've been on buses in the UK listening to the English spoken and sometimes I only understand 30% of what's being said. At least when I'm in the southern US - Florida, Texas and thereabouts I understand 80% or more. Then I go to Australia and I'm lucky if I can understand 25%. Haven't been to NZ yet but it really can't be much worse.
andrewfi says ''Proximity is almost no guarantee of authority" and "in many cases, distance gives a better picture with less emotional and subjective input."

That means I'm a subject matter expert on all things Russia, Ukraine and UK.

Yes he is unfortunately.  Not sure of the cause yet but they do not suspect foul play.  He was great...sorry to see him go.

Not sure, but isn't that what got Belushi?

They are saying Asphyxiation is the cause of death for now and not ruling out suicide as he was suffering from major depression.

I will never understand how someone who was living large with a great family, beautiful wife, nice home in Tiburon (I lived a few miles from there..beautiful area), great talent, etc. can let it go like that.  A real shame.

Another one is they add an R to a word without an R in it.

example, Princess Dianner

That one's not fair Bill.
The 'R' they add doesn't come out of thin air.
It's replacing the 'uh' in Diannuh.

If "I go by legs" translates to "I go buy eggs"
what does "I go by feet" mean?

She meant that she walked someplace.

Oh I see.  :)
She wasn't that far off then (I go by foot).

I like this idea:

Deputies offered free land to give the Russians a family estate.

Deputies of the Communist Party offered to give every Russian hectare of land under the family estate, the corresponding bill submitted to the Duma, RIA "Novosti".

In 2013, a similar initiative were members of the Liberal Democratic Party. In their view, the law would allow to restore the fertility of agricultural land, to revive the village, to improve the provision of citizens with organic food, populate depopulated land away from major shopping centers, to get rid of poverty and to strengthen the family. However, the bill was rejected by the Liberal Democratic Party.

Communist Party is now offering to donate the land for the Russians everything ancestral estate - land area will be from 1 to 1.1 ha, but they shall be granted only 10%. Land to be allocated from the state and municipal land, and to do this will be regional or local authorities.

As conceived by the deputies, the estate will be inherited, but only one person - that is, land can not be split up. On the other hand, you can not inherit more than one family estate.

So what I did was find a Russian woman who wants to better understand English. So I give her "tests." We also talk on video Skype almost everyday.  (RW are a lot of fun).

She gave me this yesterday.

I was hesitant to correct a RW/UW English at first. I didn't want to come across as a jerk. But, I have found, without exception that they want you to correct them...to help them. It's also a good sign that shows they trust you. We have a fun time with "American Expressions" at home. Tanya is fluent in English so there is little need for me to even attempt to speak Russian. When she meets with her friends she says her head hurts from speaking and listening to so much Russian...:-)

I have noticed every Russian woman I ever have tried to speak Russian to tells me to stop. Since I get the pronunciation wrong on most every multi-syllable word it must be unpleasant for them having me slaughtering their language so. So ladies, do you like your husbands or fiancees trying to speak your language? And when they say Russian words in a Western accent with scrambled sentence structure is it cute, adorable and sexy to you?
I have spoken with Frenchmen and Italians. Their English sound very funny. There is nothing sexual in their accents for me. But when they spoke their native language it sounded adorable for me.

For me it  is not important my husband speaks my language. I would like to speak correct (and hope perfectly in the future) his language.

Maxx, maybe Russian women just pity you when they hear your Russian.  That's why they stop you. When I hear something like that I feel only big pity and want to say : hey man, do not torment yourself.

Does it sound sexualy or cute?

At the same time I respect people who try to  improve foreign language. I know some people who speak English. They know many English words. But they speak with an awful accent and  use poor  Grammar.  They claim that they speak fluent English and do nothing for an improving their skill.

I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying :)

Correct her! She won't be holding you as a jerk, but will be grateful to you for your help. The sooner she will speak a 'right' language, the better will she feel about herself!

Believe me, for many many Russians speaking incorrect English would be a sign of a 'handicapped' person. Russian mentality always had a tendency to despise the weak, handicapped, mentally retarded, etc. Same tendency is true when Russians move abroad. Now they realize that they would be perceived as kind of retarded because of their broken language!  :'(

I respect people who try to  improve foreign language.

Sexual  переводится "половой" or "related to the two sexes or to gender".
Sexy     переводится "cексуальный" or "sexually attractive or exciting".
Your sentence should be "Does it sound sexy or cute?
This mistake is very irritating.
I make many of them.
I hope you still respect me....
