Flowers to Crimea?
« on: July 25, 2014, 02:50:50 PM »
Hi All,

Does anyone know of a good florist in the Crimea region that does not ask $100+ for some simple roses?

Thanks in advance,
Mark.

Unfortunately, its Evpatoria. My wife has dozens of business cards of Florists, Taxi etc in Evpatoria, but i'd rather not ask her as its her I want to surprise.

@Manny: Indeed. Would it be a problem to get my old account back? I seem to have lost access to it permanently.

Flowers delivered at what I think is the best price I have seen via the internet in Ukraine--also do Russia.
http://www.sendflowers.ua
http://ua-flowers.com/flower-delivery-kiev
Sold: 7564
Red roses by the piece - Composition: rose red.
Red roses by the piece From 21* UAH Sold: 2026       USD$3 approx
White roses by the piece - Composition: rose white.
White roses by the piece From 21* UAH Sold: 1112
Memories + candies as a gift - Composition: Raffaello,russkus,Rose red,aspidistra,packing.
Memories + candies as a gift

This is very cheap-- local prices. I was quoted  29 UAH per rose ( 228UAH(USD$28.50 approx)when ordering 9) plus 49UAH delivery/ + 1 yes one as in 1 UAH for confirming photo and email.
That is as good as it is going to get I think.  Note -they are offering free delivery in Kiev. Delivery I paid was in another city.
Previously I was very reluctant to pay asking prices quoted as they were out of all  proportion to what I knew were costs there--I dealt direct  via email with market florist who helped me directly--but it was only one smaller city. No excuse at that price not to be sending!!

The connection above is great service, cost is easily the best as it is at local price-- not inflated to the ridiculous price to the ignorant.
Other gifts--eg  chocolates  are not much more than supermarket price there -- so a relative bargain!
The service was outstanding and communication to the point of excessive !!
English is fine-not a problem.Use 2nd link to English page.

They were posts in another thread some time ago--  information applies  to Ukraine   --but the part under occupation by  Russia may have some variation with that information--certainly the cost will be higher.
The quality was also good--but dare I say--with the troubles of this year more haphazard.A lot of business's are not able to afford to carry much stock - so that could have an affect.
