What Russian movie is this? It looks good. I like the song too.

Is there a youtube link to the film?

Thanks!

Potemkin mutiny
What is worse than not being able to get what you don't even want?

Potemkin mutiny

hmmm, I noticed two things that suggest something other than a film about the mutiny of sailors of the Battleship Potemkin:

1) there is naval combat
2) involving aircraft, bi-planes.  They could have been Fokker D-7s but they came and went so quickly that my guess is probably wrong.

The Potemkin Mutiny did not involve naval combat.  And it occurred in 1905, well before those bi-planes were made.  It was only two years after the Wright brothers' first flight at Kitty Hawk, and well before the appearance of combat aircraft.

My guess is that the film is set during the first world war, but I have no idea what it is. I suppose it could have been set during the October Revolution, Kronstadt sailors.  It's even possible the film was set during the second world war.  There was limited use of bi-planes during that war.

well, I am not a russian woman to answer the OP question, about what movie this is.
the planes are not Fokker D-7s or even biplanes, but probably Eindeckers D-IIIs

Well, I said I was probably wrong.  They appeared and left so quickly I could barely see them.

And Lon, don't you need to update your status here? :)
