We'll begin with colours:

The lesson in colours at http://masterrussian.com/learnwords/russian-colors.htm has some pretty cool mnemonics to learn and remember the names of each colours.

Of course there are also the sexy Russian colours you'll need to learn. 

This next young lady does a great job at helping you slowly form each syllable to say colours correctly and understanding the genders.

Now, based on what we learned in the last video, can you put some of these colours (adjectives) together with some common nouns?

Hopefully you have taken advantage of the opportunity to learn the names of colours in Russian, and how to use them in sentences. If now, go back and watch the previous videos again.

Colours are helpful to know, even for simple things like navigation. If some gives the name of a Metro line you might not recognize it, but if they tell you the colour of a Metro line, then you're using this knowledge to help you travel more easily. Imagine someone who speaks only Russian trying to tell you to meet them at Red Square if you are not familiar with the term for red!

The next video is among the best, in my humble opinion, of all videos on YouTube on how to learn the days of the week. I stumbled across this lady some time ago after she released a tutorial video on the Lord's Prayer. We had a nice conversation via Skype, and it was a pleasure to learn she is part of a group of Russian ladies now living in the U.S. and the U.K., who teach Russian online.
