Now I live not far from Vyborg. The next video is from that place where our small resort cottage town is situated but in Winter War.

It is a long time since I visited Vyborg but the place looks somehow cleaner and more cheery than I remember.

Thanks for sharing!

Andew, I also was in Tallinn so many years ago that it's even hard to imagine-in 1980, right after Moscow Olympic Games. I remember that Riga refused to be the host of some Olympic kinds of competitions but Tallinn agreed. It was so well redecorated then! All the houses were bright coloured and Tallinn looked like a real European town, though I liked Vilnus more.It was normal for us to get a bus on Friday, spend a weekend in Tallinn or Riga and return home late on Sunday.I remember the bar Karolinka on Musumyagi(?), hot glintwine , Vana Tallinn. Oh! What sweet memories I have about your city! :coffeeread: :travel:

Of course, I was not in Estonia in those days, but I think even then it would have looked more European than many places in Russia. There has been a lot of remont and change since I arrived for the first time in the late 90's though.

Sadly no bar Karolinka, there is a Karoliina on Harju st near Vabaduse (Freedom Square) never been there though.
