I prefer to live in a house in the suburbs.  I hate driving and traffic and love the quiet and big yard and gardens.  Everything is a short drive away too...  With a good public transportation system (like Europe/Russia) I may feel different but sadly, we do not have that so a car is a must.

Why we live on the furthest outskirts of Manchester and not near the centre. I seldom go into the city personally, but my wife likes to - she takes the train. Driving is slower and costs $10 to park.  :rolleye0009:

I haven't yet got to St Pete. My wife has been and wants us to go together. Its a fairly short drive from Tallinn and we started out one day with that intent, but the border queue into Russia at Narva (only 90 miles away from St Pete) was such that we just had lunch in Narva, looked around and went back to Tallinn.  :duh:

I loved St. Pete.  It was easy to get around and areas off the main drags were rather quiet and cozy.  It is a great city to go for long walks.  I think you guys would enjoy it.

Beautiful photos Regina!

I only have a few photos from my time in St Petersburg 7 years ago.
