Thanks folks, I have been fortunate, most everything has gone well.
No major issues and both have adjusted well. Both have made some friends
and have already begin to build a life here.

As far as the Mustang goes, you are quite correct :)
Even the V-6 is quite peppy. He won't be driving mine
anytime soon  :chuckle:

After few comments and prodding, I thought I would update.
My wife and her son became permanent residents of Canada in February.
Since their arrival, we seen the worst winter in over 100 years.
With exceptional late spring and very average summer.
With all of that, her son was here 2 days and went to work with me.
( not a Lazy 23 year old) Wife's English is doing very good,
she has since only improved, now working part time as office manager.
Working to set up her own business, with luck and some hard work,  should be going by fall.
Son has gone to work for me full time and becoming an asset to company.
I have offered to send him to school or upgrades for current job.
He will decide in Sept. Both took driving courses, wife now has licence.
Son has beginners and will do test Sept. 14th the earliest he can do road test.
I helped him buy his first car, had before Lic. 2000 V-6 mustang with only
65,000 km. in very good condition. I think he drove over 500km in driveway, before being aloud on the road. :) Happy boy.
Wife today picked  up her new car. With connections I have, she managed to buy
in her own name, she's very happy. I had to take afternoon off to going driving around in new car LOL. They both have been working on English, official lessons
start in the fall. Since arriving, they have both made some new friends.
In a few weeks we will celebrate our 2nd anniversary :)

I am sure I forgot a few things, but will update as I remember them.

You said nothing about yourself...... But I can tell  you sound happy.
I also can tell you: we, Russian/Ukrainian women, move to America because of men like you.
Presence of man like you makes our lives bright and meaningful, Mr.NS1.
I am sure your wife has more to say...

Thank you.
I remember saying when we got married, I struck gold.
I am sure many then said, ya ya, but as time has moved forward I really have struck gold. We take good care of each other. We enjoy the same life style, hobbies etc.
She loves the house and has made it her own.
She loves playing in the garden, so two years its starting to look like
we have our own park:)

I wanted to write this earlier, but then had to run errands before it becomes too hot outdoors:

i read Sparky's post just after i looked up Becaud's "Nathalie" on youtube, so to post it in another thread and i still had it playing it in my head, while reading this... And the combination of the two made me feel really good, so happy for you guys and for your ladies  :loving:

Too right I've been hibernating, don't remember a colder winter in Australia, ever.....even snowed heavily in tropical Queensland!

Trev, congrats mate--happy for you!

All good mate, Mrs is doing well in her kitchen design, in fact designed top two kitchens for a reality show last year and had multiple prime time TV appearances. Eldest daughter just finished her college course, younger daughter getting ready for exams to graduate high school. But my Labrador is getting old and with arthritis :-(

Happy to hear everyone is good. Sorry about the PUP, never easy, like family. Mine is much the same, but still going, just slower now. Then again so are we :chuckle:

Well its been over a year now. Wife & son arrived Permanently to Canada.
Last year when they arrived, to the worst winter recorded in these parts.
This year one of the more mild ones. Both are taking English lessons.
Wife doing better than her son in this category. Both have gotten drivers Licence.
Both have had small accidents  (:) Both have jobs. Both have made new friends.

I have been fortunate that my wife has had no real downs or some of the typical reported issues.
All is good. Were going south in a couple weeks to Cuba, her first trip to these parts.
She will go home to visit friends for a week or so in April or May.

So far all if great :)

I am glad things are going well for you and family. Car accidents are just part of the journey and it happens more often than not in the first year.

Sounds wonderful for your family.  In our first years here we too visited Cuba a couple of times and enjoyed it.  Since getting her Citizenship Lora and I have also enjoyed the DR as well as more parts of Europe.  Likely heading back to Ukraine later this year with perhaps some other stops in Europe too.  So all the best to your family as you continue your adventures here in Canada and beyond.  Wes.

Thanks all, I do feel all went better than expected.
Considering many reports I have read about others.
Still many things to do and deal with, but for most part
all is quite smooth and very positive.
