Congrats on Angel Eyes completing the big milestone of the 10 year Permanent Residence Visa! This is a sign our government has accepted your marriage as valid. Been there, done that. Me wife has already gotten her citizenship and her mom a green card.
Over 220 generals and admirals say we are in a fight for our survival like no other time since 1776. If you want to stop the war in Ukraine, fix elections, stop medical tyranny and forced vaccinations, lower inflation and make America and the world a better place, get Trump back into power. The Democrats and Republicans have shown they can't do the job. They are good at robbing us and getting people killed in non stop wars.

Finding a house she really liked, especially after she was out and about in hot humid weather, seemed to deserve congrats.

Hopefully you both will enjoy Austin. I hear it’s a very nice city.

And congrats on her getting her 10 year visa as well.  :coffeeread:

Three weeks ago, I flew to Denver and then took a shuttle to
Glenwood Springs Colorado. I rented a 26 foot Uhaul Truck
(8 meters) and filled it up with the beds and tables and various
household things we've acquired. Then I hooked up my 25 foot
(a little less than 8 meters) trailer to the back of that and drove
to Texas. There are Mountain passes that exceed 11000 ft
(3352 Meters) elevation and it's approximately 1100 miles
(1770 KM)

Then I unloaded everything into our new house and went back
to work on Monday. I couldn't lift my arms above my head, but
I rarely need to do that at work anyway.

I completed a half dozen honey do lists.

Angel Eyes is a very good wife and she knows if she puts
11 million things on one list that I'll never look at the list.
However, if she puts 15 things on a list, that I will hurry
up and grind them out. Then she will give me all sorts
of accolades as if I swam across an alligator filled moat,
slew the black knight and his dragon and rescued the
princess.

Then the next day she will come up with another list
and away I go slaying dragons and alligators.

It snowed huge in Colorado this weekend and it was
in the mid 80's here. (Today got over 90)

What is 'a shuttle' for us Brits please? Train? Bus? Plane? Hitch Hike?

The conveyance that is used for shuttles varies.  it could be a commuter plane, local bus, taxi, train, charter bus, ferry, ship, or tram.  The distance between beginning and end points often dictate the type of vehicle used as a shuttle. One of the most common shuttle is the airport to rental car facility that is often off site from the airport and requires the use of vans to transport the arriving passengers over to the car rental location.  The distance between Denver and Glenwood Spring is appox. 250 km, so a bike or moped will not be an appropriate shuttle mode to use.

In my case it was a Large Van/Bus that goes from the airport

Manny,

The train that takes cars the the Channel Tunnel was originally called 'Le Shuttle'... You catch a shuttle bus at an airport.

It means the same both sides of the pond, surely?

The free bus service in Manchester city centre was called the 'metroshuttle'..

I have a friend in Dnepropetrovsk she is a very cute girl who AJ and Larry know
as a friend as well. (this is truly a small world)

1. Voronezh, not Dnepropetrovsk, right?  I think you got a flashback from your "Dnepropetrovsk: Say it, Don't Spray it" trip.

2. She is really cute.

Quote
Sally has some kind of 7th sense about FSUW

3. In addition to being incredibly cute, she is incredibly sharp and insightful and would be very helpful to a guy who is searching for a FSUW.

Does everybody remember Sally? She's the cute little
English teacher friend of mine, she also knows Larry
and AJ. She got married and moved to Arizona. She
hated all my previous girlfriends until I met Angel Eyes,
and then loved her.

Angel Eyes has several little hobbies, one of which is
walking around and finding rocks. The big ones, I drag
back to put in the garden around flowers and such.

I bought her a rock tumbler and the little rocks she
picks up and polishes and makes into jewelry.

It's a nice little hobby and it costs kopecks per month
and keeps her busy and happy. Happy wife, happy
life.

There is a nearly famous rock show in Quartzsite AZ
that I mentioned ONCE to Angel Eyes and she has
since decided that I had promised to take her
there (I know I didn't).

Angel Eyes and Sally have been conspiring to have
a great time at this hole in wall rock show, which is
200 miles from civilization, 100 miles from water
and 10 feet from hell. (It get stupid hot in the summer).

I have been told we ARE going and fun will be had. I
remember going to it in the past and being bored to
death, but Angel Eyes is really looking forward to it,
so I am going to take her and give it my best effort
to have lots of fun.

Living the dream

The Grandbaby has been born and we have been working at getting a visa
for Me and Mini-me.

We needed an invitation from Smiley Girl who sent it to us and then we filled
out the paperwork and drove to Houston (4 hour drive) to turn it in to the
company who processes the front end of this for the Russian consulate.

We were sent away because the invitation had among other things, comma's
in the wrong places. So Smiley Girl has to do it again and we get to make
the trip again.

We went ahead and spent the night in Galveston overlooking the Gulf of Mexico
and had a seafood dinner that couldn't be beat. The pecan encrusted Mahi mahi
was absolutely divine, the best that I have ever eaten. The snapper was tasty as
well. The Chardonnay was good but not great.
