I met a professional scammer, but found love elsewhere.
« on: December 28, 2012, 09:40:28 AM »
Hi folks.

I'm new here & to this, but thought i would tell you about my 1st little adventure to Ukraine. Not much of a story but if it helps just 1 of you it will be good.Early last year i started writing & chatting to a lady on dating site Russian Brides. Her user name was Arabica. we got on well & chatted to each other most days. after about 4 months we decided to meet in Odessa. So the arrangements were made to meet, using the site & interpreter  :plane:. She met me at Odessa airport & we travelled to our accomodation. then went for a meal, everything seemed perfect we got on well & had a great few days together with her interpreter. We arranged to see each other again the following month. she was all over me & i thought it was love..  :laugh:HaHa.. Silly me. On my return we continued to sms, chat & write letters to each other. Little did i know i was being set up, being a greenhorn to the Ukrainian dating scene.
Then without warning the site removed her profile, After days of trying to contact her via phone & email. The site contacted me & said she had been removed for multiple serious site violations.
Luckily for me i never sent her any money or took her on holiday which we talked about.
After googling her name Valeria/Valeriya Novitskaya i found out she was a professional scammer/gold digger. Has anybody else had the misfortune to meet her..? Through dating sites..
She now uses Anastasia id 1692679 & Jump4love id 149412. She obviously makes them alot of money..
Since then i met another lady but genuine. I travel to Kiev often & we plan to marry in march this year. So i guess i have been forunate, i only lost time & money paid to the site for our meeting letters & chat.
Its a shame scammers spoil it for women who genuinly want to find love.
Good luck to you all & be careful.. Use your brains & not your balls.. tiphat

Hagar, what was the name of her daughter? How many times did you see her daughter?

Not sure I see the scam?

How old are you as well?

Hi Kievstar..

I did not meet her daughter Dasha.

I'm 40 now nearly 41 was 39 at the time.

The scam was she wanted to go on very expensive holiday. & also hinted about money.. If she had not been removed from site i would have fallen for it like others have..
Have you met her..?
If so did you meet her daughter..?

It was a woman like her that made me buy a ticket to Ukraine where I did meet my wife.
Maybe these women are not really scammers, but more like VIP hostesses that get us in the door?

Kidding aside, glad you found someone  :)

Thanks Sashathecat..

I had a lucky escape by all accounts. From what i have read elsewhere she is a real professional & makes a fortune at it. I understand she scams lots of guys every year for $ thousands.
It was Russian Love Match that i met her from (not Russian Brides) & that is where i met my future wife. Glad you met your wife & did not get your fingers burnt, like so many do. There are lots of genuine ladies there, just a shame the few scammers spoil it for everyone else. I personally think some dating sites have alot to answer for. Russian Love Match were really good with me & refunded my accomodation & translator fees & a few $ more as well.. Guess its all part of life :)

Valeria Novitskaya

D.O.B.. 30th October 1985
Valeria/Valeriya is a professional gold digger dating site scammer. The most convincing liar you will ever meet. She works for dating agencies as a letter writer & chat hostess (Anastasia id 1692679 is one of many sites used) She has been removed from some sites for scamming.
She will profess her love for you, meet you for real & be all over you like a rash. Making you think you are the man for her. WRONG.
She is very clever at getting people to part with there hard earned cash, buy expensive presents & take her on holiday & send her money. lots of money. She will never ask via email or dating site letter as these are evidence & can be monitored. She usually asks via text or chat. Occasionally uses Skype (Her name on Skype Businka)
Says on her profile she has never married..
FACT.... She married September 27th 2008 to David Arutyunam
Divorced May 24th 2010.

She says she is single & looking for serious relationship & marriage.
FACT... She has an Egyptian partner/pimp..(see photo) They have many holidays abroad together
Turkey, Egypt, Maldives, possibly using your hard earned cash.
She also dates a lot of other men from France, Italy, U.S.A, United Kingdom, & Ukraine. As long as they are paying she is happy.
If you want to save yourself a lot of time money & possible heart ache avoid this women at all costs.
She spends more time on dating sites or holidays with men than she does with her own daughter.
Scams include after meeting you. Arranging for you to visit Ukraine. You send money for accommodation & transport. '4 hours before you are due to go some crisis happens & she can not meet you. She has already paid for accommodation etc so can not send you your money back. But will get a good discount next time for you..
Another scam is to say her husband (She had 1 now haha) was killed in a car crash when her daughter was a baby.. She needs money to pay the judge because if not her dead husbands wealthy parents will get custody of her daughter & she would never be able to live with you without her daughter..
Its ALL LIES.. This women does not know what the truth is. Everything she says is a lie to get you to part with your cash.
Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

She has a daughter ****  3years old ? her husband died in a car accident shortly after **** was born or so she says.  She called me crying saying the courts are going to take away her precious **** if she does give the judge $3,000. The father's gmother, ****'s grandmother is suing for full custody of ****.  I ask to speak to Valeria' s father about this  or the lawyer she has at first she agrees ? then she texts me and says there is no time for this. If she doesn?t have the $3,00 by the end of the week they will take **** away and she could not live without **** and she would never live in the United States with me if **** was in Kiev with her paternal grandparents.  .. I did not send the money ? she continues to say she loves me ? and we will get married she was so persistent and seemed genuinely hurt ... I sent her the $3,000 in two installments  $1,000 and $2,000.  I cannot find the $2,000 one but I attached the $1,000 one ? I can  go to the Western Union office and get that printed if you need it.

Jim's Note: I have the Western Union receipts.

Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

Well, I hate to say this because I have been a pretty strong critic in the past, but what we have here is a pretty good endorsement for RLM/HRB.

I note from the story, that it was RLM/HRB that identified her as a scammer. And, having done so refunded  at least some of the OP's financial investment.

Still not a fan of how the RLM/HRB system works.   However, since I have been a critic in the past I feel compelled to acknowledge a positive story when I see one.

Now, to the OP,
You are ready to marry/in the process of marrying a new gal only after one year? I will agree that some of us learn quicker than others, but . . . It was the company that saved you last time. Can you really be sure this time?

I don't want to get you angry about this. It's just an attempt at a friendly question.

Hi Zachris

Thanks for the message. I was surprised by RLM/HRB as i did not even complain to them. It was Ashley there customer service manageress who contacted me & offered a refund & apologized profusely for what had happened. I even received an email from the translator apologizing about what had happened to me.
I think she had scammed many men from the site so they carried out there own investigation into her activities..

As for rushing into marriage we will not. I think we are both pretty certain though. As she knew about what happened to me & it was her idea for me to get a private detective to check her out, which did surprise me alot. Which i eventually did & everything she told me about herself was true. Also she is more than willing to sign a prenuptial agreement as i have a very successful business. So i guess as the saying goes nothing ventured nothing gained. No one is ever totally 100% sure but I'm as sure as i can be. I know i was lucky the RLM/HRB contacted me, because Valeria/Valeriya Novitskaya was such a convincing liar, even after i confronted her about it all. Also Irina introduced me to her family 2 days after we had met which reassured me that she was genuine. She also has a good real job something miss Novitskaya does not have...

I think everyone is missing a trick here, after looking through that site.

It seems all  the best-looking  white girls in the world are living in ....Africa,with a high density in Nigeria and Ghana.

Who would have thought ? :o

I had a job offer from over there once...if only i'd known i wouldn't have rejected it. (:)

Hi Anteros..

Thank you.
I met Irina through RLM/HRB. I was writing to her at the same time as Valeria?Valeriya. & was due to meet them both that same week i went to Odessa. Which both of them knew about But Irina cancelled due to illness. I thought at first she was not straight. Just shows how wrong we can be. Valeria is very very good at deception. If there was a gold medal for it she would win hands down.. :) I did inform Anastasia & Jump4love but they do not seem to care. She is still with them as far as i know. She was also on Natasha club as well i think.
I had to have a criminal record check before i could meet ladies on LRM/HRB after that we could exchange personal details. My opinions of scammers is :censored: a colleage of mine lost a small fortune to a Russian scammer who he actually married. It lasted all of about 9 weeks..

As Patagonie mentioned, names reveal a lot although you shouldn't base every finding on a name.

Here is a helpful resource: http://russianreport.wordpress.com/russian-language/russian-names/

Perhaps it was the name of her ex husband, or the allegation that she has an Egyptian boyfriend, which Patagonie read?  (certainly no need to apologize, everyone knows I am very far from perfect... :chuckle:).

The vast majority of the girls on HRB/RLM don't use their real name as their site name.

They use names like 'sexydancer' and 'wetlips' for example.

Even if you pay for an intimacy request for their contact details you often don't get their full real name, which means you can't do a google search on them.

Hagar, I have never met her.  I found the RW under 28 years old not ready for marriage.  red flag to me is she has daughter but would not show you the daughter but would fly around the world.

Glad you found someone new but I hope you have met her parents and other relatives a couple times already.  A legit RW will introduce you to the family.

Kievstar..

Thanks for the message. Yes i have met my future wives family & a great number of her friends. I think your advice about age is good advice.
I would be interested to know if anybody else has had the misfortune of meeting her? If so let people know. Its the only way scammers can be stopped. From what the site told me & i have read about her since she has scammed many men.. Personally i wish i had known about RUA before i started my search.

It's an industry that will exist as long as there is a market for it. Regardless of whether they are escorts, pro-daters, cam girls, or flat out scammers the pay is good and the job market for normal careers is not. Also, even if women are fortunate enough to land a real job the pay is pitiful generally.

Personally, I'm on round 3. First girl I was interested in was a pro-dater. I got suckered out of a lot of money, but fortunately I didn't make the bigger mistake which would have been to let it happen again. Learn what the flags are. Others have mentioned that if the girl is really into you she'll be glad to let you meet her family and friends.

Another flag is that a pro-dater will not kiss you on the lips. She'll always turn the cheek. This is exactly the same as if someone hires an escort. The pro-dater is working just like the escort is.

I'm glad you met someone who may be genuine. I hope everything goes well for you.  tiphat

Welcome to the forum, SpellBound.  Great observations, especially the one about kissing.  I've read other stories about guys who thought the woman was genuine, but even after spending gobs of cash had barely received a peck on the cheek.  There are some real dim bulbs who go on these adventures.

I have not seen your other posts--Where did you find your fiance?  Did you use an agency, or??

The only one I found through an agency was the pro-dater. I have since met a number of people in Ukraine, both guys and girls, and have connected with them through the social networks. Also, I've met many in person in Kiev mainly.

My fiance is a friend of someone whom I got to know through Facebook initially. We just connected and from the start it was really easy to talk with her and we would chat for hours. I don't think it matters where the person is from. You will either connect or you won't.

I do actually respect the pro-daters. They're just trying to make ends meet, most of them - I think.
