Give it time Harry........

Some people only look in every week or so.

I reworded the title for you so you might get more responses. Descriptive titles bring in more readers and generally elicit more responses.

Manny, If you have the time I would like to have a conversation in private. I have a something going on in my head right now and do NOT wish to appear "troll-like" as a new member to the forum.

You can do that through the link in my profile (by clicking on my user name).

Although, the good folks here will no doubt guide you better than I, as more minds are better than one. If it is related to ufma, drop it here and lets chew it over. If it is on topic, nobody will consider it troll-like. If it is unrelated, start a fresh topic in the right room and solicit the opinions of the knowledgeable folks here as well.  tiphat

OK, so here it will be.

Prior to here I had done _some_ home work a couple of years ago. Using some information gleaned from Jim's list, I chose an agency. For whatever the reason was at the time I chose UFMA. Since that time their status on Jim's list has changed, and not is a good way. This put up my radar to do more homework. I now feel it will be a perpetual study.

So I joined here, and have read much, and found an agency that is spoken about with rather high regard.
Here's my rub. On UFMA's website they make the claim:

"The photos for the Gallery are taken in a studio in our presence. In the pictures the ladies look naturally, the images are not specially processed with the help of software.

Each photo has the watermarks, so it won’t be stolen from us. We never sell them to other agencies."

On this 'new' website they make the claim:

"we take our own photographs of the ladies when they come into the office."

I consider myself to have at least reasonable command of the English language, after all, I HAVE been speaking it exclusively for nearly 45 years. The above quoted statements mean to me that once a lady gets photographed they (the photographs) become `proprietary` to the specific agency. Both make claims not to sell their databases.

So How do I find 3 of the same girls on 2 different unrelated (agency) websites? I understand franchising, if that was the case then I would understand.

Hi Harry

Unfortunately I can't add much as I have never used this agency, but I did have a quick look (for purely scientific purposes of course  Lips Sealed ) and did notice the quite amusing way that certain ladies had a large "ENGAGED" logo on their photo, yet presumably you are still able to contact them? I'm guessing that basically the agency is saying "Sold, but still open to possibly better offers"!

Personally I would recommend EM, it worked for me and several other guys here! Nothings fool proof of course, but it helps to know that they have proven results!

Anyway, good luck!

Bruce,

I think that I read on the site somewhere that once engaged, communication is limited to only the fiancee. However, I am willing to be that if so inclined, they would be more than happy to accept your translation fee. chuckle

I certainly wouldn't be surprised if you were correct with that assumption! However, if the lady was already engaged surely her intended would have direct access to the lady privately without intervention from the agency?

One would think, but giving the benefit of the doubt, there is the translation service.
